I LOVED the alternating stories and time-frames. If I were attending this month's meet-up, I would have liked to discuss Julia's relationship with her husband and her choices regarding her pregnancy and marriage.
The one thing about the book that I did not particularly care for was the development of Julia's relationship with Sarah's son. I felt like de Rosnay was forcing a romantic end that seemed very unlikely - the son divorcing his wife, leaving Italy (where his own children are), and picking up in NYC?
Overall, I really liked the book. I would definitely recommend it to others.
